Every client is allocated their own qualified accountant (we call them our associates) as their main contact - you deal directly with them. You will be provided with their contact details as well as the name of their own business which is authorised to operate under the CheapAccounting.co.uk brand.

All work is carried out by our associates or a team under their direct control. You may have contact with a team member from time to time but your main contact is with your allocated accountant (associate).

Our associates are all members of a professional accounting or tax body, governed and regulated by their rules and standards. They all are licenced to practice (known as holding a practising certificate).

Our associates all hold professional indemnity insurance.

Our associates are regulated for Money Laundering. This means that we must carry out proof of identity checks as specified by our regulating body as well as comply with the latest Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing regulations.

We do not:

• Outsource your accountancy
• Use help desk ticketing - you communicate directly with your accountant who is the expert
• Share your data without your express and prior approval
• Send any information outside of the UK

For us regulation is important as it means that our associates must meet certain standards as well as comply with the latest regulations.

These regulations and standards are there to protect clients and give them somewhere to go to in the unlikely case that something goes wrong.

Unfortunately, the accountancy profession in the UK is not regulated - anyone can call themselves an accountant. In reality this means that some accountants will not be members of professional bodies, will not have to follow standards & regulations, will not hold insurance and will not have to undertake continuing professional development.

Of course this does not mean that they are providing a bad service; simply that they may not comply with the rules, standards and regulations that accountants who are members of professional bodies have to. In the worse case scenario, there is no protection for the client.
